After reading this thread, I recently used this script to embed all of my iTunes artwork with the music files themselves.
I now have, in my iTunes folder, the folder named "Album Artwork", which itself contains two folders: "Download" and "Local". As I understand it, the "Download" folder is used to store artwork downloaded from iTunes, while the "Local" folder contains all of my embedded artwork.
So I have two questions:
1) Which of these two folders (if any) can I safely delete the contents of without screwing up my iTunes library?
2) Does iTunes remove my old/unused artwork from these folders when I delete files or change artwork in iTunes, or do I have a copy of every single image that I've ever used as artwork stored somewhere in there? (And if so, is there a way to delete these and/or reset my iTunes album artwork completely?)
