In the past the first releases of a product have been faulty. Are the older MBPs a better and more stable computer? Should one wait for the next revision of the new MBPs or are they safe to purchase right now? Besides spec upgrades, what could be thrown into later revisions?

If you are really concerned about the build, then wait a few weeks and see if there are any complaints.

If the current models fulfill your needs, don't get too caught up in waiting for the next revision. There will always be a next revision. The only reason to wait (finances aside) is if the current model doesn't have all the features you need.

Yet? I don't think 95% of the people even have the notebooks at home! Give it a bit of time, Apple usually has some, ahem, "kinks" to knock out but we'll see how it goes.

I jumped on it anyway. First adopters for life!
