Are these normal colours for dark mode in Ventura? I'm running 13.3. I find it hard to believe Apple would endorse Red on Dark Grey for a button. I must have a setting wrong somewhere.

haha. wait, what? red is the 'stop' color, the warning color. it may not look pretty on grey, but it serves it's purpose well, which is to make people think for a second before clicking it. that seems more important than it's aesthetic value.

& it's always been that way in dark mode...

Thanks for the confirmation. Saves me time trying to "fix" it.

I must be partially colour blind because I can barely see the red on grey on a Mac Studio display. Would be so much better if it were yellow, but I'll readily admit it could be a colour blindness issue, so can't blame Apple for that.

it's not... great (the red on grey). perhaps the button color needs to change, but the red makes sense of course.

as always with apple, we get limited options. so it goes...

It is kind of sad that Apple doesn't follow the Human Interface Guidelines anymore. In any case the Cancel button should be highlighted as the default button since the HIG says that the least destructive action should always be the default. Clicking on Delete should bring up a final warning asking if they are sure they want to do this.
