Hello. Usually I open a web browser and then access my yahoo email account. Increasingly, I find that what I typed is not what my recipients received. This creates a bad impression. The letter that appears nicely formatted on my screen have word wrapping and space/line missing problems once I hit the sent button. Is this caused by Safari or yahoo mail? Is there any way to fix such problems? Usually I don't know the problems until I received a reply from my recipients. This is not good especially the mails are sent to important people. If I use Mail which came with Mac OS, will my problems be gone? I would appreciate if you could offer advice. Thanks.

For example, I typed:

Dear Apple,

I bought the Macbook Pro last week. I am very happy
with the laptop. It is excellent.

Problem 1: (the empty line under "Dear Apple" disappeared)
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 2: (the sentence is broken not the way I intended)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Apple,

I bought the Macbook Pro last week. I am very happy with
the laptop.
It is excellent.

Problem 3: (Space between "happy" and "with" disappeared.
Also, the line is supposed to end after "happy")
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have not used Mail before. If I connect my yahoo account to Mail and then do the typing, will the problem be solved. I am a bit hesitated to use a mail program (such as Mail or Eudora) because I do not prefer to have private emails stored in the HD of a laptop computer. I also want to save HD space. However, if that is the best way to avoid the problems I am having, I should do it.

Free Yahoo! email accounts do not support POP access. You can use Mail or Eudora only with paid Yahoo! accounts.

As for your "problem," it is not a problem. This is how email works. As miles01110 said, formatting email is a waste of time. You have no control over how your recipients' email clients will format the messages received from you.

I have both paid and unpaid yahoo accounts.

How come I have not received emails from others with the kind of problems I described?
