Are these speeds normal from an iPhone 4S? I'll try to attach a picture, but I'm on my phone right now.

It's 0.86 download
And 0.95 upload

^ that's on 5 bars on 3G

The fastest download I've gotten is 1.05mbps so I'm trying to figure out if it's my towers or the phone?

Which carrier are you on? Those seem normal for iPhone 4S's on Sprint and a bit slow for Verizon. And very slow for AT&T. Do you have another phone to compare the speeds with?

Sorry, I'm on AT&T, I forgot to mention that, I have another iPhone 4S, 3GS, and HTC inspire to compare with. Wen my dads inspire got 6mbps down, my sisters 3GS got about 1.5 mbps, crazy thing is last nite my dads inspire got .18 down and .80 up and I got .89 up and like .30 down!!! I hope I can get faster speeds, because my sisters 3GS speeds are HORRIBLE FROM AT&T NETWORK!

Your local tower could be having problems or is congested. Are you able to test your iPhone 4S and another phone at a different place?

It's gotta be your area. I just ran a speed test with wifi and 3G and got better results with 3G (not a ton better).

I'll have to try in thenext city over later. I did the speed test at home and at a restaurant 1.5 miles away, and just about the same speed. About .80 - .90 down and the same up... :/

Just did a speed test on my 4S. My 3GS used to get 1.5mbps. My 4S just got 5.86mbps. I'm happy.
