I have the 3.06 Ghz C2D MBP 4 gb ram from 2009. I used istats to check on the hardware status. Below are the results,
(note: when I did the testing, I just turned on the mbp 20 min and didn't do anything except browsing the web with firefox 4)

All in degrees Celcius.
HD: 30
CPU: 53
CPU heatsink: 47
Enclosure Base: 31
Enclosure Base 2: 31
Enclosure Base 3: 27
GPU: 50
GPU Diode: 57

Fans are at around 2000 rpm each

The temp seem quite high is this normal for MBP doing what I am doing now? the temperature can go as high as 70 - 80 when I do exhausting tasks (eg photoshop, premiere pro, after effects, graphic intensive games and etc)

Disclaimer: I did not even bother reading your post.

Most likely yes, if you had searched, you would've found over 10 000 threads asking the very same question, and noticed your temps were perfectly normal. You would've then reasoned to yourself that worrying about temperatures is completely useless unless the computer is shutting down due to overheating, and went on your merry way.

In short, yes, your temps are probably just fine.
