Hello, could someone help recently noticed back of mid 2011 iMac getting pretty hot to the touch so downloaded a temperature monitor program (Hardware monitor) an was wondering if these temps are normal or too hot

this was just after playing a game for around 45 mins Thanks in advanced.

No, those temperatures are normal. iMacs will always feel warm or hot to the touch as they use their aluminum bodies as passive heatsinks to drawn away heat.

My 2013 imac runs considerably cooler but no worries on the 60ish degC for CPU stuff.

Now I never owned that model so maybe these are normal but these look suspicious to me
- Power Supply 83degC
- Secondary Heatsink = 98degC

IMO Only the CPU should ever get above 85degC -

PS - My Late 2013 imac ALWAYS cool to the touch -
