I just cant bring myself to paying 50 bucks for the one on Apple.com. I'll probably have to get it eventually, but im looking for other options first. Any suggestions?

I am sure there are some others out there.

Just wanted to say, that if you get an Apple one it will work well with your hardware. Other brands may not be so good.

So if your time is valuable, depending on how long it takes you to find a reliable alternative, it might be cheaper to get the Apple one.

Yeah, thats true. I wont really be using it much, thats why Im so reluctant to purchase it at that price. I was thinking about just purchasing one (usb modem) off eBay, and just run the dial up internet thru windows if its only compatiable with that.
