Are they kidding?

I just bought my first mac (the new MBP) and the Apple website is saying that it is going to ship July 24! I did custumize it some (upgraded the harddrive), but that seems a little extreme. Is this the type of thing where they say it's going to take six weeks so I am suprised when it arrives in one or does it take six weeks to upgrade a harddrive?

did you happen the choose the 7200RPM hard drive? there's a limited supply of those right now so there's a delay.

There are a lot of us wondering this same thing. You must've chosen the 7200 rpm drive, as this changes the shipping time as you say. I have this ordered, and hope it won't take 4-6 weeks, but it could...

They JUST updated the MBP, so that is sort of a meaningless statement. I'm sure it's a parts supply issue like the 7200rpm drive mentioned already.
