General rule of thumb for me... if it's coming from China I'm inclined to think it's not OEM. But just because it's not 30 bucks from an Apple store doesn't mean it won't serve its purpose.

I agree. You're never going to know. Sometimes it's near impossible to tell even when holding the product in person, even harder from pictures.
