I ask this as I want to buy another iPhone 4, and when in vodafone today getting a sim the box looked indentical to the one I got from apple. Does anyone know?

Factory unlocked seem to be available only direct from Apple (or in an Apple Store). O2 say they are not offering an unlock immediately although they do imply that they will once the initial demand has died down. On their O2 Shop web site (which isn't accessible outside the UK) they say

Unlocking iPhone 4

To make sure our iPhone 4 stock is reserved exclusively for genuine O2 customers during launch, we won't unlock iPhone 4 until after the launch period. Please check back here for the latest infomation on unlocking iPhone 4.
