Serious question… When farmers spray and enriched their crops with liquified feces from cows, horses, pigs, and chickens… does that not put vegetables in the same category as eggs and milk?

gives you something to think about while eating a juicy watermelon or biting into a tomato

I think vegans are opposed to animal suffering. By that line of reasoning, using their poop ain't causing them any harm. I would say it's healthier for the animal. Who would want to live surrounded by their own poop everywhere?

But is animal poop considered a animal byproduct like milk and eggs are?

plants are sucking up all those essential “nutrients” just like water

yes it is an animal byproduct.

There's no way to be a perfect vegan, it's something we all accept, and we also have participated in at least 30 hours of these ideological arguments.

There is "Veganic" farming which uses only plant-based compost, because salmonella/E. coli outbreaks from crops are never caused by crops, but always from fecal contamination.

Basically the goal of a vegan is to reduce suffering. A lot of machine-based farming results in the death of insects, field mice, etc. But considering that livestock are also fed the same crops, just at a much larger scale, the suffering is compounded if one is eating the livestock.

So no, vegetables aren't really vegan. But that's very close to the "no true scotsman" fallacy.
