Are we able to selectively restore certain things on our iCloud restore?

As per title. Find that my battery life is suddenly slightly better after a full reset, but I still want my messages back.

You can just selectively enable iCloud sync for certain features. If you had messages in iCloud enabled, you will have all your messages if you re-enable that function.

If you are referring to the iCloud backup, then that can only be restored in it's entire function, not separately.
