Are we expecting any sort of MBP update any-time soon?

Im after a 17" i7 MBP and remember a story on MacRumors a little while ago about apple possibly updating CPU's and possibly GPU's sometime around september.

Anybody know if this is likely and I should wait or just go and buy now?
