I am trying to understand what could be the differences in how a macOS Ventura(13.6.2) connects to Bluetooth compared to an Android(Samsung Galaxy S21) device to try to understand how to troubleshoot connectivity
I have a headset(Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset 2023 Edition) that allows me to switch between audio sources when a button is pressed :
This functionality works perfectly between Windows 10 and Android, but for some reason when the source is a Bluetooth macOS Ventura(13.6.2), there seems to be some persistent connection happening that does not release the device unless I turn off Bluetooth first.
Pressing the button that is supposed to release the connection does not do anything and it seems that my Mac is holding the connection "hostage" for some reason.
Interestingly enough, this is not the first time that I have seen this behavior. A different headset brand was doing the same thing
At the same time, this only seems to be happening with headsets. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and it works as expected there
I reached out to Razer support to gather more insights, but if you have any experience with this please let me know
Thank you!
