So, are you using the video feature and purchasing many videos on the store?

I have purchased these:

- 5 Lost Episodes
- 1 Music Video
- 6 commercials

What about you, do you like the feature or not? What shows do you want added that would pull you in?

I have bought the first season of Knight Rider. I wish the resolution were better, but it serves my needs, and I did it with a gift certificate...:D

I bought the entire first season of Dora the Explorer so I could delete those episodes off the TiVo. It looks suprisingly good when run from my iPod on a 27" 720p native HDTV. Not quite DVD quality, but still very good. Could have something to do with the fact that 320x240 scales nicely to 720 pixels high.

Since they can't be burned to disc, I'm using that as one excuse to add a Mac this year to hook up to the TV. ;) If only they'd hurry up and get XP to run on the iMac, I'd immediately be able to justify getting one to replace the old 750 MHz PIII clunker the kids play games on.

I bought the Weapon of Choice video right away to see the quality. I don't have a 5G, though, so I doubt I'll buy anything else for now.

Many people have complained about quality and resolution. I would love iTunes too have a full-sized store, and an iPod sized store, that would be cool. But with my Lost episodes, if I go and sit a few meters back and play them in full-screen, they look very good.

I am impressed by the video store on iTunes, and will continue to purchase video content.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, but have yet to pull the trigger on it. I'm afraid they won't live up to my fond childhood memories.

Soon as I get an iPod video whatyamacallit - I plan on recording TV shows and sending them to my iPod. with love to EyeTV. only problem is... no video iPod! seeing I've been stuck on the same bus route for 7 years (saw me through secondary school, college and now university) I need my eyes to look somewhere else.

So I dont plan on buying, merely using my own :)

no cable where I live, so I have bought all of season 2 of Battlestar Galactica. feeds my sci-fi addiction

I haven't bought any videos off of iTunes and probably never will. Just doesn't interest me...

/doesn't watch much TV.

So far I have bought a 22 video, video album (A Weekend at the Greek),
2 music videos,
and 5 episodes of The Office.

Don't worry...they won't. :D

It's so embarrassing to go back and watch the shows I loved as a kid...they were really bad. How could I have such bad taste?!

My collection

I have six videos:

Two music videos:
-Weapon of Choice
-Hoppipolla

Two Pixar Shorts:
-For the Birds
-Knick Knack

Two TV Shows"
-SNL: Lazy Sunday (Free!)
-Spongebob: Jellyfish/Plankton

No way. The TV in the living room is for watching movies. With my family. Watching alone upstairs (or even not alone, huddled round the screen) seems sad to me.

Porn excepted :D

I do agree in some parts, the TV is for watching video content, but we are moving into a new age where computer screens are getting larger, and we want content right at the moment we feel like it, not waiting to a certain time when a show airs.

I will forget you said that last part ;)

I suppose so. But think about how cool K.I.T.T. was back then. I mean, the car was pretty sweet. In the 80's.

Plus, that was before Hasselhoff became a "singer." And before they frankensteined the car.

I couldn't figure out why someone would buy shows off the iTMS when you could just burn them from a DVD, then I saw how much time it took to burn DVDs and get them in to iPod format so I went and bought the shows from Apple!

Well, yes, but, for me, the thrill was gone when the "radar" showing KITT chasing the bad guy was the Auto Racing game from the Intellivision - which we had:

I mean, it wasn't even close - the game was always going around corners in a suburban neighborhood, whereas, in the show, they were downtown. Geez.

Video's purchased from the itms can't be burned to disc..? That sucks...just another reason I don't buy stuff from the itms..
Well you can burn them to a data disc for backup purposes, or for viewing on another computer, but you can't convert them to MPEG2 and burn them on a DVD.

There was a report in the forums that you could first convert them to MOV using QT Pro and then use iDVD to burn them that way, but that did not work for me. I could not get the MOV to authorize from iTMS.

Prior to flying out to CA from the East Coast, I purchased and downloaded six episodes of "Law & Order" and one episode of "Desperate Housewives" so that I could have them on my 5 G video iPod to watch on the plane. That was fun and I got a real kick out of being able to watch these shows at my convenience. Not planning to make a habit of this, though, but I do like having the convenience and availability of episodes of TV shows when I am stuck on a plane for hours.

Awesome idea, but how did you get that many episodes out of the battery? Was there power source on the plane?

I purchased one music video, and honestly, that was enough. I like the idea of it, but eh.

Do you want to elaborate on why you don't like it? I'm really interested in seeing what people like, and dislike about the video store :)

I didn't watch all of the episodes at once and still haven't viewed everything. I watched "Desperate Housewives" and one of the L&O shows on the way out to CA and then on the way back home a week later watched two more L&Os, so I've got a couple unwatched episodes still waiting...
