Just to start a fun discussion while we're all waiting for pre-order news.

Are you planning to take your iPhone 4 around town on launch day?

I was thinking about hanging at a coffee shop and "non-chalantly" using my new iPhone 4. I know it's really pathetic, but I can't help myself. I've never gotten an Apple product on launch day before.

:D

Anyone really going to notice it anyhow? from a glance it'll look like any other iphone, maybe the white face but most people are pretty naive to technology, there are plenty of people that don't know a new iphone is even coming out.

No...but I know my beautiful white iphone 4 will stand out since everyone seems to be getting the black "safe bet" iphone4. ;)

You guys are taking this WAY too seriously. I'm just trying to have some fun here.

Im getting a white one with a pink bumper. I intend to whip it out near hot women, wait for them to ask what it was, to which I'll respond "I'm down with Susan Komen, ya'll." Then they'll sleep with me.

I think this is a great plan, but my wife doesn't care for it. I may just take her suggestion of getting a phone that actually maintains calls. But what fun is that?

I am just going to hop over to my work and make all my co-worker jealous. But other than that, I don't really like the attention, so I will probably keep it to myself :)

I don't know if "flaunt" is the right word, since I'm not going to intentionally draw attention to it, but I plan to get a lot of use out of it in the first few days. I've never had a phone this nice, so this will be fun.

But no, I'd never make a "hey look at my phone" kind of scene.

Umm, no. I'm not the flaunting type and don't have a pretentious bone in my body. With so many people I know and work with dealing with hard financial times right now, I will not be rubbing their nose in my new "toy" they may never have the chance to own. I try to build those around me up, not chide them into feeling down.

I am buying my phone on the launch date because I leave for a two week trip the following day. Otherwise, I'd probably not be preordering but would take my chances on buying sometime over the next few weeks following the launch.
