Twice now I've tried mowing my lawn using just my AppleWatch. I don't want to carry around my iPhone in my sweaty pocket. I can never get a good connection. I turned off wifi and bluetooth so it stays on cellular but that doesn't help. I've tried leaving them on but if I get too far away it disconnects.

It's frustrating. I've tried it at home and out of town with the same issue. Am I expecting too much for this? Is cellular data mainly for voice and text?

I have pretty strong 5G and LTE where I live. So I can stream podcasts and music without problems but it hits the battery really hard so I always have an offline workout playlists and I make sure to download the podcasts I want to listen to if I end up doing a long walk.

I'm happy with the cellular - I have Verizon. When I've needed it (streaming, voice) it has worked for me. <shrug>. But I definitely don't try to use it.

Ultra seems better than my AW7 was... So I may be a bit biased here...

I'll try downloading next time. I really wanted to get out there early this morning before the heat came out, finished the back just in time.

AT&T's map shows I have 5G coverage but I don't think this AWSE2 is 5G.

AWU with Visible by Verizon. I regularly leave my iPhone behind at home and exclusively use my AWU while hiking, walking, gym, and shopping. I rarely have hiccups while streaming via these Apps: Amazon Music, Pandora, Streamlets, or iHeart. While continually streaming my AWU uses approximately 18% battery per hour. My wife's AW8 on Visible also has no issues...but her battery drains much faster 27%-30% per hour while continually streaming.

Same with the Ultra and Visible as my carrier. No issues for me at all with them. I also regularly stream music for my car stereo (One of those older Bluetooth systems that the Apple Watch can connect to), it has no issues streaming music while driving.

I have a shortcut for web browsing. Sometimes this can be slow, but usually works.
