hey all,

The release of the new ipods has got me thinking, i need the space so a 160GB is the best option for me but i really like the new nanos. Im thinking of selling my 60GB ipod video for a new nano my question to you all is,

1. Would i regret it?
2. Sell it and buy a classic?
3. Would the resale value of an Engraved ipod be less or would you be more likely to buy it as its unique (title of the thread relates to this)?

Engraved with "Thou Shall Not Steal"

Thanks

To me, an engraved iPod has lost some of its value. And the only way I'd buy one was if it was substantially cheaper. Can't stand the idea of them, personally, especially if they're inscribed with something naff.

They're electronic devices with a limited lifespan. If you really want to inscribe something as a sign of affection, a watch, locket or bracelet is a far better choice, in my view.

To me, an engraved iPod never had any value.

If you need the space, seems the nano is not a good option. Buy on need, not because of pretty colors or other less important factors.
