Twitter can be pretty awesome if used correctly. I'm not a fan of following randoms from the main twitter stream as i find the chat very fragmented. Also mainstream hashtags get polluted with commercial/advertiser messages. Last month i was introduced to a members list discussion or twitter chat which actually made twitter very useful for me. It uses lists and chat hashtags to allow you to connect and discuss with like minded people. It helps you follow and find followers who share like minded interests.
I've just set some lists up for apple chat as i think it would be great to connect with some of you guys on twitter too.

- You can all add yourselves there to tweet, chat / q&a + follow each other too.
- The hashtag is #applechat (same as the list name) for discussion / q&a etc.
