We need a sticky poll to see how many people are interested in this device.

I plan to buy an Apple Watch. Now, when I buy one is another matter.. still saving my pennies.

Polling starts in 5 days.

True, but given that the last 5 posts on macrumors are about this device in which I have no interest whatsoever, I thought I'd get a heads up on what percentage of people might be thinking of one.

Between the battery life and the fact that there is no use I can think of for this device, I know I won't be getting one.

Or, there are forums about devices you do have an interest in buying here at MR for you to enjoy. :)

It's a launch. What else will MR cover? Mock ups of potential new iPhones? The current one is barely 6 months old.

So far, the poll is telling. I'm in a minority and this looks like it will be a huge success.

Unless those that are not interested aren't even popping into this forum.

It will be longer for me for a chance to vote. :(

Don't worry. The polls will be open for quite some time!

I doubt anyone sleeps with their watch on; I know I don't. Lasting more than a single day's use would be interesting, but hardly a necessity. :)

However, if you don't see a use for the watch, then it's clearly not for you.

My wife and I are counting down the days. Can't wait!

I'm not getting one because

- I don't see why it would be useful for me.
- I think it's way too expensive for something I expect to be obsolete in a few years.
- It's not compatible with my iPhone 4.

Yeah, I think these results are going to be overwhelmingly biased as I doubt people who don't plan to buy one are browsing the Apple Watch forum.

I sleep with my watch on. And I think it would be nice to use the awatch as a sleep tracker. But there will be the charging factor. Maybe I can charge it for half an hour when I get home and half an hour when I wake up and put it on after my shower.

Nope.I won't get one.
Out of all Apple products,I find Apple watch the least interesting one.
just don't find it interesting at all.sorry.

I just do not get the Apple Watch. I haven't worn a watch in probably 15 years, and the Apple Watch doesn't do anything my phone can't do far, far better. I don't know anyone that is going to get an Apple Watch, I am a little concerned they may have a flop on their hands.

Don't worry, lol, they don't.

Like most technology, the Apple Watch is about convenience, specifically about having access to information without reaching for your phone. What one will pay to save time/effort varies greatly but considering how many still wear a watch and install clocks through their home/office, when their phone/computer is capable of providing the same information, I'd say there are plenty who will want that information (and more) on their wrist and thus easier to access.

apple watch subsection: are you getting the apple watch? :p

That is like going to the mac section and asking are you getting a mac. Most people in this subsection want/plan on getting the watch or they wouldn't be here.

I don't normally browse subsections. I click on 'new posts' and browse that way, so it's possible that someone not interested might still see this poll.
