I plan on getting a 6 or 6+ when my contract is up in November. I will put iOS 8 on my 5. I am interested to see how much room the auto-delete iMessage feature saves on my phone. I'm curious to see if I should stick with the 16 when I get the new phone, or if I should up to 64 (btw, the only complaint I have right now with Apple is why not just get rid of the 16 and start the base at 32?).

Yup. I'll get to use it for this evening and all of tomorrow before I pick the 6 up first thing Friday. While it would be cool to experience new hardware AND software simultaneously on Friday, I'm an impatient mofo and would like to update as soon as its available :D

Yes, of course. If anything, I expect it will reduce the chance of error when restoring from icloud to the new phone.

Nope!!

but then again, I can't with an iPhone 4.
my iPhone 6 gets here Friday...new hardware and software.

I personally wouldn't risk blowing up my phone and then having to do a full iCloud restore only to have to do it again in two days, but maybe that's just me.

Yes i think it helps elminate any conflicts going from 8 to 8 instead of 7 to 8/ Plus i can get everything the way I want now than don't have to do it with the new phone

But its taking forever. a hour
