Whenever I have to use my wife's iPhone 5, I find myself unjustifiably annoyed at using the primitive swipe to unlock. Clearly It's a stupid first world problem, but it's funny how quickly technology can start to "feel" outdated. Touch ID is the first idevice update that has me thinking it's getting close to the time to update my iPad 2. Well, that and the fact that the iPad is starting to display what appears to be temporary screen burn-in with high contrast images.

For the first day or two I kept clicking the home button and swiping to unlock instead of leaving my finger there to scan, purely out of habit. Now that I'm used to it I find almost every time I use my iPad I am waiting for it to scan my fingerprint. Hopefully they put Touch ID in the new iPad.
