I believe sept b/c gruber said so. And they alluded to it at the earnings call.

Nobody knows for sure, but you can expect it during the fall time with iOS 5 release. So around September.

Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Doubtful. Maybe since the release date is late this year, they will be able to have the phone released that soon after the keynote, but history tells us that the iPhone is always released 3 weeks to a month after the keynote

This delay and the intro of iOS 5 should translate into the introduction of an iPhone 5. New phone + new OS. They probably never planned to ship a new iPhone until the new iOS was made. Some disappointment with the iPad and the delay on it's promised features waiting on the updated OS to implement them ruffled some feathers.

iOS 5 + iCloud is a big move for Apple and made nearly everyone happy about the new OS. I think Apple plans to keep the positive energy rolling with a totally new iPhone. One that will "equal" them out in terms of options for consumers vs the multitude of Android phones. A lot of speculation about Apple keeping the 3GS as a $50 post paid phone (also introducing it to prepay) and their standard price drop of the current phone (iPhone 4) into the $99 spot with the latest edition priced at $199-299. Low, medium and high. The only thing left is to speculate on just what the new one will have... A 4" screen to go against the HTC and Motorola Android phones? The LED notification colors we see in iOS 5? Giveaways are the new cpu, camera etc...
