(Background: I ordered in-store for home delivery at about 1:30 p.m. June 15; nonpremiere. My order never showed as backordered, and my CC has not been charged yet.)
I've had a tracking number for several days, but no info has ever shown up on the FedEx site. My phone has shown as "shipped" for a couple of days now. Feeling frustrated, I called AT&T just now to see what was going on.
Well, the first rep I talked to gave me a completely DIFFERENT tracking number than the website did. That order showed as already delivered ... to my local store. Going to pick up my phone at a packed store with two rambunctious toddlers in tow was NOT what I wanted! So I called the store to see what was happening. They were zero help and couldn't tell me if they had my phone or not, or if it was in fact going to be sent to the store (as they rep told me) or to my home (as my receipt showed).
I am now totally confused. I now don't know WHEN my phone is coming to my house, but I don't even know IF it's coming to my house!
So I called AT&T again, and THAT rep told me that my phone was in fact going to be sent to my home, and she showed the same tracking number as I had -- the one with no info from FedEx. She suggested I call FedEx.
So FedEx was very helpful and told me that they were supposed to start processing my package TOMORROW, and that there should be more details online then. WTH? I thought I was supposed to GET it tomorrow! I mean, I originally thought it was going to be here Thursday, so I can live with getting it Thursday ... but why has my phone shown as "shipped" since June 18 if FedEx doesn't even have it yet? And why did an AT&T rep apparently give me a tracking number to the local store's order? Blech.
