Me and two of my friends went to the Apple Store Pasadena today so my friend could buy a 15GB iPod, but they didn't have any in stock. The Glendale Apple Store is about 20 minutes away from there, so I called them and they didn't have any there either. We're going to check The Grove tommorow, but they may not have them either.

I just hate it when things like that happen.

Just wanted to rant a little... any comments or (not likely) suggestions?

On a side note: I wonder why all the Apple Stores are out of 15GBs?

I guess they're selling well.

You could check out Best Buy.

It may not be the same as an Apple store, but it'll get the job done. :)

No, it's his first Apple product (he's waiting till after WWDC to buy a Mac) and he wants to buy it from an Apple Store.

I'll ask him about Best Buy, though. He wants it bad. And now.

It's hard to be patient. I ordered a 30GB from MacMall the day they were announced. I got a few bucks off the Apple Store price and they promised it would ship in about a week. Well, it took a month instead - I just got it this week. Great product, but it was annoying not to be first on my block to get it.

In L.A., we have the luxury of a few Apple stores within reach, but by all means call the stores rather than drive all around town.

Well, I just bought my 15gig yesterday from the Emeryville store, so ibookin', if ya wanna come up north with your friends, I'm sure they've still got some, unless I got the last one...

Nah... we have finals this week, but we're going to check The Grove.

Update: He has successfully purchased an iPod and the Belkin Tunecast FM transmitter from The Grove Apple Store this afternoon. It is his first Apple purchase and he loves it. We
had to use my iBook to rip some of his CDs since his computer does not have a Firewire port, though. :(
