Apple's Jonathan Ive, the designer behind the iPod and iPhone is made a Knight Commander (KBE). Now living in the US, the East London-born 44-year-old began working for the company in 1992.​

Jonathan Ive, Apple's head of design, has been awarded a knighthood in the New Year Honours list.

Mr Ive, who can now style himself Sir Jonathan, has been made a Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).

For myself, I am pissed-off that, once again, I was left of the list of honourees for the Order Of Canada this year.
