I'm running Lion on my Macbook Pro and I'm having some issues getting "arrange by" and "sort by" to stay that way. I'm using icon view, if that matters.
I want all my subfolders in Documents to be "arrange[d] by" kind and "sort[ed] by" name. This works fine for Documents, but all subfolders I have revert back to "Arrange by: none" and "Sort by: name" when I turn my computer off.
I've tried pressing "Use as Default," but the option only appears in my Documents folder and doesn't have any effect on the subfolders. In any of my subfolders, it is greyed out, no matter what I do.
Is there a solution to this? I'm fairly new to Macs, so if you wouldn't mind being specific in what I have to do, that would be fantastic!
