Arrangement Option No Long Available

For many years I have used an Optima projector with my Mac OS X 10.6.8. Suddenly the Arrangement option no longer appears when I open the System Display window. I have two options Display and Color whether or not I have connected my projector or not. I've never had this problem before. How can I get this option back?
