I am using using Snow Leopard.

I want to know if there is a way to choose which type of file comes before another when one selects the option to arrange files by kind. Net shortcuts are being listed after pictures for me; I would like the reverse.

Click the Kind column heading in Finder to reverse the sort. They're sorted alphabetically by Kind. You can't do this in icon view, however.

Okay, Thanks. I could have sworn that, at one time, the shortcuts were listed atop the pictures in icon view and switched at some point. Maybe not.
