I have just upgraded to Mavericks and my Mail stopped working. I reinstalled it and applied all my accounts again. I then copied over my old folders (containing my messages) and pasted them over the new ones so my messages would remain.

However, this time, I have used IMAP on a couple of accounts (don't know if this may be the cause of the problem below).

The problem is, I see new items in the sidebar which I can't remove.

The first arrow shows my Gmail account which is listed under Inbox already, so why does it show it again in this place?
The 2nd arrow is another instance of the same email account being shown.

The 3rd and 4th arrows are other accounts which are also listed under Inbox so why are they shown here?

How can I get rid of these duplicates and just leave the folders under Inbox?

Appreciate the help,

JH

Have you upgraded to 10.9.1. It had some Mail fixes IIRC.

BTW: "All Mail" for Gmail includes all archived mail which would no longer be in your inbox.

Hi, yes, it's because of this mavericks upgrade that I had to reinstall Mail.

How do I get rid of these additional items (with the arrows)?
