Arrow shows on dock icons and won't load !

I upgraded Adobe program and now I have curved arrows showing on 3 of my dock icons at the LF side, Safari, dictionary, and launchpad. They will not load from the dock now, everything else will load. what is this about. Only way to load them is from the spotlight. I am just learning and might have screwed up.
