Arrrrgh, SBC keeps dropping broadband connection...

my stupid 2Wire homeprotal keeps dropping its broadband connection, and on the rare occasion that it does work it's slower than dialup. Been like this for two days. Im calling SBC but I doubt they'll help me. Ideas?

P.S. I've been trying to write this for two days. Now that its monday I'm plugged into the school's T1 line

OK, I'm assuming this is DSL rather than cable, but shoot me down if I'm wrong.

If you make a phone call, is there noise on the line? Static noise especially?
