I think this is really a very good and thorough review of the iPhone 3G. It is certainly worth your time to read it through.

They really slam it as they say it's now advertised as competing in the business arena (enterprise software, etc.)

But of course they all have one, and use it , and have upgraded.

Actually they are absolutely right! I, as a consumer love my iPhone. Its nearly perfect.
A business user needs more than what the iPhone 2.0 offers. The new software is a step in the right direction but not quite there...Especially the Search Mail missing function is a total disaster...
