Wonder if this has anything to do with Apple/Google/Schmidt???

Google Inc. said Monday that Arthur Levinson has resigned as a directors, effective immediately.

Former Genentech Inc. CEO Levinson, 58, has been on the board at Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) since April 2004.

No reason for his departure was given although his membership on both the Google and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) boards was the focus of potential conflict of interest questions by the government since the two companies compete in some areas. Levinson has been on Apple's board since 2000.
