I would've pain $699 for the iPhone 3G, but I understand this was necessary for Apple to get into the market.

Similarly, some people though I was dumb for getting to the Apple store at 6:30am on launch day since there'd be plenty of stock that day. When I walked out at 11am and saw people that showed up around 8am still having hours and hours and hours left in line, I was the one looking smart for not having to wait longer overall and be in the heat

as with the 2g phone I will wait 90 days minimum from launch...
It paid off last time with a $200 savings, ZERO wait time
I figure this time it will result in ZERO wait time again, possible getting a 32gb model not a 16 and Ohh yeah ZERO wait time.
Side benefits are;
Yellow Screen issue should be resolved, Battery life issues looked into, More stable app environment.

Article is meaningless. Yeah they will be low but you will be able to find them coming in daily, with it only increasing. By the time this guy says you'll find one only every store will be stocked.

And I would bet that the weekends are when the massive loads of iPhone sare coming in from Asia.
