Artist name not appearing on iphone?

I have an iPhone 4S, fully updated and everything.

I am copying my music via Copy Trans Manager as iTunes is a memory hog and needs an update every 3 days and CTM is easier to use.

Well now I copied my mp3s to my iphone via CTM and the Artist name isnt in the list? If I search the artist on my phone i can listen to them but why isnt the name showing up? Ive restored the phone in CTM with no luck. The arist name cant be found in the artist list but in the song list i can find all of their songs..any ideas?

You're using a software other than iTunes to deal with your iPhone. I'm not saying it's bad or shouldn't be done, but you must expect to run into issues. There's a reason Apple states so many times that iTunes is the way to deal with your iPhone from a computer.

Try restoring through iTunes and doing the same thing. Does it work?

Also, iTunes isn't too bad of a memory hog, just shut it down once and a while. And there's an update every 4 months or so, how are updates a bad thing?
