i'll ask siri for directions to a place, and i'd say about 75% of the time it'll reply that it found the location and is getting directions. then the screen will turn off and there will be no navigation or any activity at all in maps.

i can still retrieve and use directions just fine manually, so its not my internet, siri is just the most unreliable thing ever. and given that it works *ocassionally* i'm pretty sure its not that i'm doing something wrong (nor does it throw me any error - it replies like it was successful, and then silently fails immediately.)

it boggles my mind that apple has a whole carplay division, but my experience relying on an iphone for anything hands-free is an absolute nightmare.

Same here. I ask Siri for directions… “Getting directions to wherever”… then nothing.
Manually works fine every time.
