I noticed that i was running out of disk space and used whatsize to figure out where it's all going. I found my log folder to be 8gb and the vm folder 3.5gb I was reading another post about this problem so i decided to not delete the logs just yet hoping to figure out the problem, get my HD space back, and hopefully make my mac run faster by killing the process that is causing this.. For a while i have noticed in the activity monitor that coreaudio is always not responding although it seemingly works fine. Much of what i use my mac for is audio related (music production). I use a digidesign mbox2 for all monitoring purposes. I don't know if the not responding coreaudio is what's causing the log files or not, but i thought i'd mention it.. I know hardly anything about using terminal so i haven't run a log through it to figure anything out yet.. Any help is much appreciated!

I've attached a screenshot of my activity monitor
