So the X has a larger aspect ratio than the previous models. I get that we can pinch to zoom to utilize the whole screen. My question is can YouTube creators start filming in the X's aspect ratio or is it something YouTube itself converts the video to?

I'm not familiar with how all this is done so I was just curious if we'll ever see videos that are in the X's aspect ratio. The zoom isn't horrible, but it annoys me to know some of the screen is cut off when I zoom in.

You can make your video to the aspect ratio of these new 2:1 phone screens, and then export to a 16:9 video with black bars, and then you can zoom in on your iPhone X and have it be full screen.

Netflix started shooting in the 2:1 format a while ago, but other than that I don’t know of any content created for it.
