Apps Asphalt 8: Data saved if Apple TV reset?

I'm having problems with my Apple TV (first touch remote model). I'm at my last option: Reset to factory settings, then (hopefully) reinstall all apps.

My question is, will our 2+ years worth of data for Asphalt 8 be saved in Game Center and thus retrieved, or will it be lost?

I would think this would be similar to migrating to a newer Apple TV and transferring apps and data, but having never done this we're concerned.

Providing you signed into Game Center it should download all progress from the cloud.
With some games however you have to play an initial first level first before the option to use saved game data appears.
