Aspiring movie maker needs direction/inspiration

I am fairly new to reading the forums here and have only posted one other thread(it was a home video I made of my kids). Keep in mind that I am only wanting to do this for a 'hobby' and not to make a living/money. I am wanting to make a short 2-3 min movie with my kids playing the actors. I really just want to 'play director' and see if I can do anything cool with my new HF10 and FCE4. My problem is that Im not Mr. Creative. Is there any resources/people/message boards out there or here that could help me out(and by help out I mean take me by the hand and do it for me) with a script or specific Idea to film?

Have you thought about remaking a scene from you or your kids favorite movie. Watch the scene- storyboard it - shoot it, etc.
