I recently converted avi files to mp4's using Handbrake so I could watch the videos onto my IPad.Now I am just wondering if it's alright to delete the avi files now that I have converted it to mp4's or should I keep them ? Do I need the original avi files in the future ?

Any assistance would truly be of great help. Many thanks <3

You don't need them, unless you need them though, but I guess, the .mp4s will be enough for your needs.
You can delete them safely, Handbrake and the converted .mp4s don't need them anymore.
