I happened across a link discussing Assistive Touch. I was unaware of this feature but it seems like it would help using the 6+ more comfortably by enabling the user to grip the phone more in the middle.

Anybody with a 6+ try this yet?

Honestly, yes. I previously had the iPhone 4 and my home button quit responding so I started using the Assisted Touch. It apparently saved to my iCloud so when I restored my 6+ the Assisted Touch was still on there. I was so used to it that I still proceeded to use it, only to find out I can have my hand in multiple places on the phone and still be able to access all the buttons. I find it quite convenient and will continute to use it for the mean time.
