Hello!

I'm terrible at navigating my way around my MacBook Pro mid 2012, running High Sierra.
I've just bought an Astell & Kern AK Jr MP3 player and just cannot get it to connect with iTunes or even have it recognised by my MacBook. I'm using the correct lead.
I've also had this problem connecting my phone to my MacBook - have never had any success.
I've tried to run Android File Transfer, but even that won't open.

I have all my music on iTunes and was running an iPod with this previously, without problems.

Would anybody be kind enough to help? I'm not really techy so please be gentle with me!!

Thanks,
Emma

Any ideas? I'm wondering whether I could have worded this thread a little better.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that neither my MacBook, nor iTunes recognises that my new audio player. I am using the USB that came with it.
It is supposedly suitable for Macs too.
Android File, I've downloaded and that doesn't even recognise anything.
The USB ports on my MacBook work as I plug in an external DVD drive regularly.

I'm now beginning to freak a little as I've just spent 200 pounds on this MP3 player!!
