Asteroid to Debut Jan 20-23 - My Prediction

Hi Everyone,
So everyone is wondering what happened to Asteroid (Apple's rumored firewire breakout box for Garageband)... but to me it's painfully clear.

Apple will announce the product at the 2005 NAMM Convention (The International Music Products Association), going on January 20-23rd. Last year this convention was a big deal, and products from DigiDesign and others were announced. Apple is an exhibitor there, and I believe it is to their benefit to announce the product there because it will create buzz in a forum that is at least partially outside of the Apple bubble.

Also note, Apple lists it as an "Event" on their Hot News page.

isnt the 23rd also the day when iLife 05 is released as well?

I hope this is true. Perfect timing with Garageband/Ilife being released on the 22nd.. plus it makes more sense to release it at this convention.
