Astro Mixamp Pro & iMac

Trying to get (simulated) 5.1 / 7.1 surround sound for FPS games on the iMac via headphones.

Was wondering if this was possible to do if I were to get the Astro Mixamp Pro.

Thinking of getting either an Sennheiser (HD 598) or Denon (D2000) to pair with the mixamp pro.

Want to plug the mixamp pro to the iMac via USB.

If anyone else has a cheaper alternative to get surround sound via headphones from the iMac (usb) please let me know.

It does not passthrough DD to the Astro Mixamp via USB, you'll have to use optical to get 5.1. Then, of course, the content has to support 5.1. I have the mix amp, not sure if pro. So ask me if you have any questions.
