MP 1,1-5,1 Asus HD7970 on Mac Pro 2,1

I have a Mac Pro 2,1 and I'm looking to install an Asus HD-7970 (HD7970-DC2-3GD5) to it.

I've seen some other guides surrounding HD 7970 and they all appear to be 6-pin + 8-pin powered but mine is dual 8-pin.

1) How will I power it and how can I check that it can support the power draw?
2) How can I flash the firmware? Where do I find the right one?

You need just 2 cables with 8-pin-connector.

Seems you have Eyefinity-model? In my opinion no good choice, there is no suitable firmware. You should leave it unflashed.
