Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Hopefully there are some N66u users who have death with this.

I previously had a AEBS with a Laserjet 1012 connected to it, and was able to print wirelessly from an imac no problem. I also used Printopia to print from iPhone/ipad. Then swithced to the N66u, and can't print.

The N66u recognizes the printer and lists it in the network map. The router says to follow these instructions for adding the printer to to the iMac:
http://support.asus.com/Search/KDetail.aspx?SLanguage=en&no=709CD7A4-CFFE-D939-717D-D7CFD82C44B1&t=2

Every time I get to step 8 of the instructions, select the appropriate driver, and click ok, I get an error message saying osx is "unable to verify the printer" and unable to connect to 192.168.1.1 due to an error. It gives me the option of creating the printer anyway, but if I do that, no print job will go through.

Does anyone else have wireless printing set up on their N66u?

Thanks

There is a significant difference between the two routers - the AEBS has Apple's proprietary software in it so that normally USB-only drivers can have their output redirected to the USB on the AEBS.
If you install the open-source Gutenprint drivers, you can probably add the printer using a standard IP printer protocol:
http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php

Here's an example of using a standard IP printer protocol (LPD):
