I just stumbled across this LCD display from ASUS. It can be bought from Newegg here for just under $600. Basically, this LCD is an iMac without the Mac. It has a built-in 1.3MP webcam and speakers. It offers a myriad of inputs similar to the Dell high-end displays.
Having owned an Intel iMac since they were debuted, I have been spoiled by the all-in-one design. My desk isn't crowded with cables and clutter and my kids love the iSight with PhotoBooth. I had considered getting a Mac Pro when they are released and I thought that a monitor like this would be a great companion to Apple's new tower. But, what I really want is for Apple to update the current ACD line to include these features.
What are the chances of the new Apple ACD's having intergrated iSights and, to a lesser extent, speakers and when would such a beast be made available?
